Playfront

It was already announced in 2019 that Constantin Film and Netflix are planning their own series on 'Resident Evil', for which further details have now been leaked. After the formalities had already been completed last year, the shooting starts in June.

This emerges from production information, according to which 8 episodes of the horror franchise are planned, each comprising 60 minutes. This corresponds to the usual Netflix formula of a brand new series. This time it will be shot in South Africa, up to and including October 2020. The launch on Netflix should then take place in 2021, even if it is not yet official.

How the series is structured in terms of content is currently still completely unclear. Milla Jovovich should not be involved in the cast this time. According to previous reports, the series uses signature elements, which should make the horror factor more important. But also action sequences and references to the games should not be missing.

More information is expected to follow in the course of the year as soon as the shooting of the series has started.
