The revamped version of the real-time strategy classic has reached the market with controversy under its arm.
Warcraft 3: Reforged has not started its commercial journey on the right foot. The remastering of one of the most successful games of the strategy has been warmly received by the press and by the players, to the point that it has been the victim of the review bombing in Metacritic, a practice whose objective is to knock down the average mark of the product in Note aggregators Blizzard Entertainment, meanwhile, has not only acknowledged that the launch has been "hard", but has also decided to change its return system.
In a statement published on Battle.net, the US company has confirmed that from now on it will allow unsatisfied users to return the game manually. “Blizzard stands out for the quality of its products and services. Normally, we set limits on the availability of returns in games, based on the time elapsed since purchase and the period during which it was used. However, we want to offer players the return option if they feel that Warcraft 3: Reforged does not provide the experience they wanted. In this way, we have decided to allow the return, upon request, from now on ”.
Blizzard is committed to improving
J. Allen Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment, has not hesitated to recognize the problems. “When it comes to Warcraft 3: Reforged, honestly, it has been a tough week. Our community expected great things from us and we have heard that what we have done has not met those expectations. ” Even so, he has expressed his strong commitment to the title:
“We support our games and we have consistently demonstrated that we not only support them, but continue to work on them even after launch. We are committed to doing so too (with Warcraft 3). We will continue updating the game and informing the community of our future plans, ”he emphasizes.
Warcraft 3: Reforged is available exclusively for PC. The company apologized for the state of the game and promised to improve it in the future.
