The Witcher series is not based on video games developed by CD Projekt RED, but takes the original novels written by Andrzej Sapkowski to color their stories. "I'm not a player, but when I started with the project, I ran into a friend of mine, Matt Owens, who is an inveterate player, and basically I insisted that he let me play," said Hissrich.
