From Platinum Games they say they are open to the idea of making a sequel to Wonderful 101 if fans show their support with the remaster.
The Wonderful 101 is a Platinum Games title released on August 23, 2013 for Wii U that was on everyone's lips recently due to the announcement of its remaster for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC and the publication of its Kickstarter campaign. Before revealing this remastered edition of The Wonderful 101, in an interview with Nintendo Everything, Platinum Games leader Atsushi Inaba said that they are open to launching a sequel in the studio, provided fans show enough support to the remaster.

“Regarding a sequel or something, we can't make one if there aren't enough fans of the saga in the first place. So, if the players support the remaster and things go well for The Wonderful 101, I would say that it is quite natural that we want to make another game in the saga! ”, Inaba details.
The director of the game, Hideki Kamiya, adds that he had a series of creative ideas that flowed when the original Wii U title was in development and he hoped he could put them into practice in the future: “I had ideas like, 'Oh, what would it be like if We would make a sequel where Wonder Blue was the leader? ' All these creative and exciting ideas flowed, the game was launched, I saw the numbers and said: "Wait, what?" So, I hope to be able to recover those aspirations again in the future. ”
Last weekend, The Wonderful 101: Remastered exceeded its Kickstarter goal of nothing more and nothing less than $ 1.5 million. Due to being an already developed game and being a Kickstarter focused on the remaster, it was not long before a wave of criticism arose from many users who did not understand the Platinum Games movement. Even so, many others have supported the company, so if you keep your promise, it is feasible to expect a sequel to the title in the indeterminate future.
