Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 will begin on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Fortnite Chapter 2 performs an alternate reality game to promote Season 2
On Sunday 16 several gold objects began to appear in different parts of the island of Fortnite Battle Royale. These objects had been previously filtered thanks to the work of data miners who rummaged through the archives of patch 11.50.

On the same day, several players from around the world began to report the appearance of posters with the Fortnite logo with golden motifs, and several telephone numbers. In other words: Epic Games has launched an alternative reality game in which it gives clues to eyedroppers about what is to come in Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2. It is a treasure hunt in real life, although The prize in this case is information.
Throughout the 16th, different related events happened:
- Posters with the Fortnite logo appear in cities around the world. In some of them there is a phone number that can be called to obtain a cryptic message.
- The official Fortnite Twitter accounts in different languages and social networks (such as @Fortnite_ES on Twitter) have changed their logo and their header to one with golden motifs.
- A bot called "The Agency" appeared on Fortnite's Discord channels. His avatar is a new logo that we can see on some of Fortnite's posters (the golden footprint of one hand).
Given the multiple mentions of gold, agents and an "Agency", our theory is that the theme of Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 would be espionage. We have several reasons to believe in this:
- The first part of our hypothesis is evident; In multiple messages obtained when calling on the phone, there is talk of agents, an "Agency", and code names.
- The multiple mentions of gold make us think that there could be some kind of collaboration with the James Bond franchise. Not surprisingly, this element is a recurring theme in this saga (Auric Goldfinger is one of the emblematic villains, the GoldenEye satellite, Francisco Scaramanga's golden gun …). In addition, the movie "No Time To Die," "Without Time to Die," the 25th James Bond movie premieres on April 2, 2020, and this would enter into this new season.
Gold is a recurring element in the James Bond franchise. Auric Goldfinger, the GoldenEye satellite, the golden gun of Francisco Scaramanga … and if that weren't enough, # Bond25 opens on April 2, so it would be in Season 2 of # FortniteChapter2.
