The Witcher 3 runs out of cross-save on PS4 and Xbox One

CD Projekt RED confirms that there are no plans to transfer this functionality to the other console versions.

The Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been updated with a patch that not only adds numerous graphic options, but also incorporates touch controls and the cross-save function with the Steam and GOG versions. The sorcerer debuted on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2015, but CD Projekt RED did not implement the cross-save option. Will you do it in the future? USGamer has directly asked the study and the answer has been negative: the rest of the consoles are not expected to enjoy this functionality.

"This option is something that we designed for the Switch version specifically with Saber Interactive, the team that has collaborated with us in the port of Switch," explained a company representative. "There are no plans when it comes to launching similar functionality in other versions of The Witcher 3."

The title was released on Nintendo Switch last year 2019 in a Full Edition that includes not only the base game, but also its two major expansions, all on the same card. CD Projekt RED is working on the development of Cyberpunk 2077, a title that a priori will not appear on the Kyoto machine. At least that's what the developers say, pointing out that they have no plans to do the port, although they don't close the door completely.

The Witcher 3 is renewed on Nintendo Switch

It is not common for console versions to have a wide range of graphic options, but Saber Interactive and CD Projekt RED have made this possible in the Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3. The following options can be configured:

  • Bloom
  • Definition
  • Depth of Field
  • Depth of Field for Kinematic Cuts
  • Chromatic Aberration
  • Water quality
  • Vegetation viewing distance
  • Anti-aliasing

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt follows the adventures and misadventures of Geralt de Rivia, a man who belongs to the sorcerers' guild and who travels the world in search of fearsome monsters. Once the contract is signed, his sword is responsible for piercing the body of the unfortunate creatures. A dead enemy and all happy, and as the song says in the Netflix series, Toss a coin to your Witcher (throws some coins at your sorcerer).
