The Witcher series of Netflix has finally confirmed the actor who will play the character of Vesemir in the second season; thus, and after intense rumors that placed interpreters like Mark Hamill (Star Wars), Mads Mikkelsen (Death Stranding) or Michael Keaton (Batman), the chosen one has been the Danish actor Kim Bodnia, a name not as well known as the previous ones and who has participated in series such as The Bridge or Killing Eve, among others.
Vesemir, key character for season 2
Thus, and according to Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, producer and showrunner of the series, Vesemir's character will be key in the second season of The Witcher, being very excited about the signing of Bodnia.
“I am very excited to welcome Kim Bodnia to the cast of The Witcher. I have admired his talent in series like Killing Eve and The Bridge, and I can't wait to print his strength, tenacity and warmth on the character of Vesemir, who is an integral part of our next season, ”says the showrunner.

And it is that according to Schmidt, the second season will focus more on the hunting of monsters and other creatures through a more linear narrative. Vesemir, on the other hand, will have a great role in the next season as a father figure of Geralt de Rivia, a theme that we could already see well above in the first season through flashbacks.
Recall that the shooting of the second season of The Witcher started recently with the physical preparation of its protagonists and the announcement of the entire cast, including all new faces.
