The Division 2 and the real New York, face to face

A user compares the locations of the game with those of the real city, showing the great work done by the team

In The Division the force of their real locations has always been used to give intensity and symbology to the game. The idea has been to create a plausible scenario in which society collapses, and for that it is important to have real and tangible places that we can believe. The YouTube channel "ElAnalistaDeBits" has done a commendable job illustrating how far this maximum comes in Warlords of New York, the expansion of The Division 2 that takes us back to the big apple.

In the video we can see the direct comparison of exact locations, being able to appreciate to what extent they have approached to reproduce emblematic points such as the financial district, the Trinity church or the legendary New York Stock Exchange building, places that appear in this expansion.

Great realism

Using a mix of game captures and the Google Maps tool, we can see constant comparisons of the same locations, at the same angle and verify that Ubisoft Massive's work is really remarkable, presenting that dirty and shattered version of New York with everything the realism that grants seeing the same buildings, the same facades, streets, parks and structures, altered but recognizable.

We were able to tell you about this expansion in detail on our trip to Malmö studios. It is already available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia.
