EA celebrates the 25th anniversary of Command & Conquer with a remastering of the real-time strategy classic.
The classic returns. EA has confirmed that Command & Conquer will receive a remastering to celebrate 25 years of its original release. Command & Conquer: Remastered Collection is a compilation of real-time strategy games that accompanied us more than two decades ago, and will arrive on PC on June 5 on two platforms: Steam and Origin. In addition, it will be part of the Origin Access Premier subscription. The remaster has the following titles: Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Command & Conquer: Red Alert and its three expansion packages, which are Covert Ops, Counterstrike and The Aftermath.
Some of the original members of the Westwood Studios team are linked to the project, and it has been developed with the support of the C&C community. As EA explains in a press release, the game process began in October 2018, revealing the project to collect information from the community before the creation work began. The figure of the community counselor actively involved in the process and in contact with the study has been created to transfer all user needs
4K and remastered soundtrack
This Remastered Collection brings with it graphics and reconstructed textures with support for 4K resolution, in addition to a soundtrack of more than seven hours remastered by the original composer of the work, Frank Klepacki. The presence of the community in the development process has allowed the user interface to be remodeled, controls improved and updated and a map editor added. The multiplayer has been developed from scratch to offer a more modern experience with quick 1-on-1 games, Elo-based matchmaking, rankings, reps and other details.

Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is being developed by Petroglyph, Lemon Sky Studios and EA with the help of some of the original Westwood Studios team members, and will be available for PC through Origin and Steam on June 5. Origin Access Premier members will also be able to access the full video game on PC from June 5 while they are subscribed.
