Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a global success: 2 million units sold

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot: the duration of its story mode revealed

The CyberConnect2 game closes its first full month on sale with commercial results that invite optimism. Available on consoles and PC.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has managed to overcome the barrier of 2 million units sold worldwide. Bandai Namco has published a message through the social network Twitter that they know that, in less than two months, the CyberConnect2 video game has reached double million copies between PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The figure, which includes units sold in both physical and digital format, demonstrates the power that the saga currently has despite its veterancy; a great health relationship with the video game industry. This March will be updated with the expected time machine mode to be able to perform those side missions that we have been able to leave along the way throughout the adventure.

To the best of our knowledge, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 sold more than 5 million units; Dragon Ball FighterZ has exceeded 4 million copies. In both cases, with one more platform in its equation, Nintendo Switch, which at the moment does not have a Kakarot port on its way.

The future of Dragon Ball in video games

Just a few weeks ago, Bandai Namco Entertainment gave an interview to V Jump magazine of Shueisha, a company responsible for a huge number of popular manganime series. In the case of the first, it is who currently has the commercial exploitation rights (video games, merchandising …) of these works and, as they say, there is a department called Jump Team that is responsible for supervising, delegating and preparing each video game, which does not they are few. We talk about the Naruto, One Piece, Captain Tsubasa, My Hero Academia and, of course, also Dragon Ball. Studies like CyberConnect2, DIMPS, Ganbarion, Soleil work for Bandai Namco.

At the moment, it is unknown what will be after Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. On the one hand, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be in 2020 for no less than four years, but continues to receive content; meanwhile, Dragon Ball FighterZ continues to receive DLC and will start this course its third season.
