Monster Hunter World: Iceborne New update & Monster variants available

Playfront

As announced, Capcom has released a new title update to ‘Monster Hunter World’, which can now be downloaded free of charge. The highlight is two new monster variants, a lot of system updates and a new seasonal event.

Only the most daring hunters manage to counter the new medium and long-range attacks of the Rajang variant, which is covered with golden fur. When angry Rajang gets angry, his fur glows golden and he uses his boiling anger to get even stronger. A new variant of Brachydios is covered with explosive mucus, which hunters have to be especially careful of if it falls to the ground. This massive version of the fan favorite from the past can also engage hunters in an uncompromising cage fight that has no way out.

System updates

The third title update for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne also gives hunters the ability to customize their weapons without changing their value. The first of these weapons are now available and allow players to customize their fully upgraded weapons with a specific basic design and monster parts. More weapons with unique designs will be added in April 2020.

Lovers of the leading lands can now use a new object, the Banishing Ball. Quest leaders can now drive unwanted monsters out of an area while hunting. For hunters who relax after a mission, there are also a number of new paid DLC options for their rooms, including new monster characters and music options. Fashion hunters can also be happy because all NPC hairstyles from Monster Hunter: World are now available as part of the free character customization update. Combined with the new paid tags and sticker sets, hunters can look even better.

On April 9th you can also expect the new seasonal Seliana event, as well as even more master-rank challenges for the hunters. The new Kulve Taroth Event Quest offers a group of four hunters the chance to collect upgrade material that can elevate the high-profile siege equipment to master rank. Hunters will also need to use their keen brains, weapons, and strategies to prepare for the arrival of the terrifying walking natural disaster called Alatreon.

More information about this ominous dragon elder will be available shortly.
