Borderlands 3 – takedown-shakedown event, level cap is raised & more

Playfront

Gearbox is planning a new event in ‘Borderlands 3’ this week, as well as a few changes to the level cap and more.

First of all, the takedown-shakedown event is now available, in which the mini-bosses and final bosses in the Maliwan secret facility have an increased chance of dropping objects from their specific loot pool. Eliminations scale depending on group size, but they are designed for characters with maximum levels and powerful equipment. If you really want to test your endgame skills, you should try the true elimination mode in a complete group of four chamber hunters.

With buzzing, love and tentacles: The wedding of Wainwright & Hammerlock starts another event this Thursday, which brings with it the brand new ice world Xylourgos, creepy curses and freaky cultists.

Increase the level cap & further updates

The current Borderlands show also announced that the level cap for chamber hunters will be increased from 53 to 57. This allows players to earn four more skill points and equip two final skills at the same time – an enormous power boost for high-level players.

April also promises new and free updates, including Chaos Mode 2.0 and the seasonal Cartel Revenge event. In it, Maurice returns and instructs the players to take out cartel members anywhere in the Borderlands. If Maurice’s requirements are met, he sends you to the property – a brand new location where a thrilling boss fight awaits. Since there are three different groups that can be fought, the confrontation in this area is different with each round. The event lasts for six weeks, but can be activated or deactivated for the duration of the event, as requested by the fans.
