The new DC and Warner Bros. movie starring Gal Gadot announces a new release date due to uncertainty about the Covid-19 pandemic.
Wonder Woman 1984 delays its theatrical release in the face of worldwide uncertainty caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. For her part, director Patty Jenkins has also shared a statement, thus ruling out the rumors that pointed to a possible premiere of the film on streaming platforms. “We did Wonder Woman 1984 for the big screen and I believe in the power of cinema. In these terrible times, when movie theater owners are struggling like so many others, we are excited to re-date our movie for August 14, 2020 at a cinema near you, and pray for better times for everyone by then. And it is that Wonder Woman 1984 has already suffered other delays in the past, since the original premiere of the film was scheduled for November 19, 2019.
