Castlevania renews on Netflix: there will be Season 4 coming soon

The chain of series and movies on demand confirms that they will continue making new episodes based on the popular Konami video game saga.

Netflix has confirmed that there will be a new season of the animation series based on the Castlevania video game saga, which will be Season 4. Now that the third has just been released, the giant platform for series and movies on demand dispels any hint of doubt on the continuity of production, which thus becomes one of its long-standing pillars of animation.

For now, no details have emerged. We do not know date, number of chapters, news regarding stories or characters. We can only stick to the teaser published through the social network Twitter, which confirms that "Season 4 is on the way."

Although everything invites us to think that we will have to wait until 2021, this American production led by Sam Deats and Warren Ellis leaves for now unknowns about its future. The first season had 4 episodes in summer 2017; the second, 8 episodes with a premiere in October 2018; the third, 10 episodes beginning in March 2020. What we also don't know, in the absence of official confirmation, is whether Adi Shankar will continue to be in charge of production.

Netflix and anime, a good friendship

Netflix's concern with supplying a complete catalog of animated series and movies grows exponentially. After taking the license of the Studio Ghibli movies, which are gradually arriving, or the exclusivity of the new Pokémon movie, we have recently learned that Netflix has signed an agreement with the publisher Shueisha to produce a live action series for One Piece, the most popular and most successful manganime in Japan in terms of volumes sold.

Thus Castlevania joins other important names such as Devil May Cry, The Witcher and Saint Seiya, which make it more than clear Netflix's interest in attracting the videogame-loving public to its à la carte service.
