Activision will launch this remastering by surprise and without eliminating the No Russian mission, which caused controversy more than 11 years ago.
Activision has not yet officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, but many players have already been able to access it thanks to PlayStation Store Germany, where the video game can already be purchased. Removing the strange movement of the North American company, the players have been able to discover that the most controversial mission of the video game has not been censored and continues to be part of the adventure. No Russian returns with the same ingredients from more than a decade ago.
The mission is starring Joseph Allen, an undercover CIA agent involved in a shooting inside the Moscow airport. It does this to gain the trust of a terrorist group, but at a very high price. The shooting killed many civilians, something that horrified some people at the time. This, however, is one of the multiple missions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. YouTuber TheGamingRevolution has posted the entire mission on his channel.
When does it come out?
As we said, to this day Activision has not yet officially released the game, which at least on PlayStation 4 is scheduled for March 31. It's kind of like what happened with Call of Duty: Warzone, Modern Warfare's standalone battle royale. Although the modality had been leaked over and over again, the Americans did not announce it until a day before its launch.
Both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone will star in a double experience weekend, which will begin on April 3 at 7:00 p.m. It will end April 6, a day before the third season of the battle pass debuts. The games are available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with a business model that allows content to be expanded without the need to divide the community.
