Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, compared in video to original

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered, compared in video to original

The clip shows the graphic changes between both versions; Another video showing the differences between PS4 and PS4 Pro is also shown.

Activision would have released Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered almost by surprise if not for the leaks that occurred in the previous days. Paradoxically, the game was released on PS Store Germany before the company officially announced it, an anomaly that has lasted just 24 hours. The video game is now available on PlayStation 4 (it will be released later on Xbox One and PC), so videos have already begun to appear on YouTube. One of them is The Bit Analyst, which compares the original 2009 version with the remastering.

As you can see, the improvements go beyond a change in resolution. In the PlayStation Store, they say that the textures and animations have been touched, as well as "high-range lighting" and "physics-based rendering". The Infinity Ward classic does not return in full, as it only includes the campaign. Multiplayer modes are therefore left out. You can also see a video that compares the versions of PS4 and PS4 Pro.

No Russia, the return of controversy

What remains is its most controversial mission, No Russian, which has drawn criticism in the past. On the mission, an infiltrated CIA agent goes to a Russian airport with a terrorist cell. In order to give truth to his cover he participates in the attack, a shooting against civilian personnel. More than 10 years after its launch, little has changed. Sony Russia has refused to commercialize the game on its platform, PlayStation Store.

The studio responsible for Modern Warfare 2 has reimagined the first original installment. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, for PS4, Xbox One and PC, has not been the only title in the series that has come out in recent months. The free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone is the bet of Infinity Ward within the battle royale genre.
