Therefore, he was a victim of review bombing. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered will also no longer be distributed via Sony's digital platform. This has been decided by the Japanese company, which directly points to one of the most controversial missions in the saga, No Russian.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a remastered version of the single-player fictional campaign launched in 2009, now restored in HD," says Activision in a statement sent to GameSpot. “Sony Interactive Entertainment has decided not to sell Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered on PlayStation Store Russia. What is No Russian like?

In this particular mission, an infiltrated CIA agent poses as a terrorist to gain the trust of the enemy group. In order to make his story plausible, he joins the terrorist cell in one of his attacks, which takes place at a Russian airport. Like the rest of the squad, it opens fire indiscriminately against all the people who have been in the place, something that generated criticism more than a decade ago.

This new version is now available in Spain and can be purchased from the PlayStation Store. The PC and Xbox One versions will be released later. The title improves textures and animations, as well as rendering based on physics and lighting. It costs 24.99 euros and includes the following extras:

  • Classic UTD Ghost Skin
  • 2 Weapons projects
  • Weapon amulet
  • Auction
  • Sentence
  • Animated business card
  • Emblem
  • 2 Battle Pass level omissions

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was first leaked through some bodies that rate games by age. Later, it was the German PS Store itself that put it up for sale, before it was even officially announced.
