After the April's Fools' innocence, the Japanese studio hints at a new announcement soon.
Sol Cresta was the announcement that PlatinumGames made on April 1, a game in collaboration with Hamster Corporation that will not crystallize because it was an innocent. From time to time, the words "Bonus Stage" appear on the screen, an extra of which of course nothing is known yet. Why did they do the innocent?
Hideki Kamiya, an industry veteran, was one of Capcom's great directors, now at PlatinumGames. According to the head of titles such as Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Okami or The Wonderful 101, they wanted to make a joke, especially due to the current times, with the backdrop coronavirus. Kamiya states that he doesn't like to make jokes that disappoint his fans, which is like one of his golden rules, although this time it doesn't seem to have worked. Anyway, with a fifth announcement on the horizon, the expectation rises again.
PlatinumGames will release The Wonderful 101 Remastered on May 22 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Project G.G., the new video game, will close the hero trilogy started by Viewtiful Joe and followed by The Wonderful 101 himself.
