Gift code in Pokémon GO: redeem free items to play from home

The company responsible for the game, Niantic, continues to take steps to facilitate some of the basic tasks without having to go outside.

Pokémon GO continues to expand its range of possibilities to play without leaving home during the coronavirus crisis. Niantic, developer and developer of the iOS and Android video game, has released a code to redeem a batch of basic objects to capture creatures. The code is totally free, global and compatible with iOS and Android. Its expiration date is April 10, when they do not rule out the re-distribution of a new batch.

The gift includes a total of 8 Poké Balls, 4 Silver Pinia Berries and 4 Golden Frambu Berries. Entering the code is as simple as going to the end of the Pokémon GO store on Android devices and redeeming it; on iOS, however, you need to login from this official website. The code is the following:

Don't leave home: Pokémon GO takes steps not to move

The nature of Pokémon GO involves exercise. To participate in the Liga Combates GO, for example, we need passes that are obtained after walking several kilometers, but the current health situation recommends and requires us to stay in our homes except to carry out essential tasks such as buying food.

Niantic has acted with a few concessions: from increasing the appearance of wild creatures in the user's radius to canceling events or facilitating the League Fights GO online without having to walk. The most outstanding one we met just a few days ago, and that is to be able to play forays with friends without going outside temporarily and exceptionally, as we explain in this news.

We do not know how long these extraordinary measures will be available that allow you to do all these tasks in Pokémon GO without going outside. What is certain is that in Spain the state of alarm – and, consequently, citizen confinement – will remain active until April 26.
