Grounded will be released in early access on Xbox One and PC

Obsidian Entertainment's new production explores the survival genre and leaves out the role.

The new Obsidian Entertainment, Grounded, will be available for testing starting April 28. The study itself has confirmed it in the most recent episode of Inside Xbox, where they have revealed that it will be available within the Xbox Game Preview program. Early access will work with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Steam Early Access. In addition, a new video gameplay has also been published by the director Adam Brennecke and Shyla Schofield, Obsidian's social media manager.

Unlike other products from these developers, Grounded is not an RPG like The Outer Worlds. It is a survival title in which the characters live adventures inside a garden. The peculiarity is that, like the children in the movie CariƱo, I have shrunk the children, everything around them is of a considerable size … because the boys have become tiny. The goal is to return to the original size, although the path will not be easy. What you were innocent before, like an ant, becomes a danger to life.

Much work to do

In the garden there are all kinds of creatures: ants, flying insects, and spiders. However, to survive you have to do more than avoid insects, since we can gather, craft and build bases with the materials we find in the garden. In this context, an acorn peel can serve to protect us from the threats that are looming before us.

Obsidian Entertainment was acquired by Microsoft with the aim of strengthening its network of internal studies. The North American giant began an expansion process that has led it to buy several reputed studios, including Ninja Theory, InXile Entertainment and Double Fine. The idea is to offer new content of your own for Xbox One or PC, but also to make your Xbox Game Pass service more attractive.
