Crysis official account anticipates news after 3 years of inactivity

Electronic Arts, which was the official distributor of the title, announced months ago that it had several remasters on the way.

That a social media account wakes up after several years of silence is a sign that something is on the way. Crysis, the Crytek saga, closed its last chapter in 2013, with the publication of its third installment. Since then, the German studio has put aside the franchise, which became famous, above all, for the graphic section of its first installment on PC. After three years, the official Twitter account has returned to show signs of life.

He has done it with just two words: "RECEIVING DATA", or what is the same, in Spanish, "receiving data". Beyond that, nothing has been commented. The followers did not take long to respond to the comment, where they anticipated a possible remastering, already rumored previously. Be that as it may, we will have to wait for the developers to announce their intentions.

EA remasters, one of them?

It should be noted, however, that the publisher of the game, Electronic Arts, confirmed that it had several remasters on the way for fiscal year 2020, which ends on March 31, 2021. The Americans published the remastering of Command and Conquer and will do what own with the port of Burnout Paradise Remastered for Nintendo Switch. Of the rest, little or nothing is known.

In recent years, Crytek has been through several crises, which have resulted in the closure of several of its studies, so its financial situation was seriously compromised. At the beginning of the generation, they designed Ryse: Son of Rome, a historical title destined for Kinect that was finally reformulated to become a traditional cutting action video game. Robinson: The Journey was his contribution to virtual reality; also one of his most recent productions.

The Crysis saga, meanwhile, is made up of the three main installments, the Warhead expansion and Crysis Wars, a multiplayer installment of independent cut.
