Call of Duty Warfare continues to fight cheats: more than 70,000 expelled

Activision and Infinity Ward announced a zero tolerance policy against all those who use tricks to be victorious in their video games.

To cheats or water. That is the approach that Infinity Ward and Activision have wanted to transfer to players who have in mind to use the traps to succeed. Despite the warnings and the measures that both companies are implementing, some users continue to turn a deaf ear in the successful Call of Duty: Warzone, so drastic measures have been taken. Through the study's official Twitter account, the developer has once again stressed that they will not allow cheating, while confirming that there are already more than 70,000 expelled.

"We have logged more than 70,000 bans worldwide to protect Warzone from cheats," they report in the tweet. "We will continue to roll out security updates and work to improve our in-game reporting system." Infinity Ward also anticipates that more details will be communicated about it soon. "We are watching, we have zero tolerance for cheats," they point out.

This is how the studio against cheats works

It is not the first time that Infinity Ward has manifested itself in this regard. In early April, they revealed that more than 50,000 people had been expelled for that reason. The security team investigates the data and identifies possible breaches 24 hours a day. They also focus on cheats and hacks like aimbots (which automate aiming). Currently, they are trying to reinforce the system that allows notification of possible cheating. Once a questionable practice is reported, it is analyzed and filtered for investigation, which will determine if the user in question will be expelled or not.

Call of Duty: Warzone is a standalone battle royale mode, playable under a free-to-play model. The title came out as part of the second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, also developed by Infinity Ward. Both are available for the same systems, i.e. Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
