Given this situation, Konami has decided to postpone the publication of this content "until further notice."
"Following the declaration of a state of emergency in Japan, the original release date of April 30 for the DLC is no longer possible," they explain in a statement to the press. "Konami has also made the decision to cancel plans to release the physical version of eFootball PES 2020 with the cover of UEFA EURO 20," they confirm. However, the Japanese assure that anyone who has the video game can get this content at no additional cost. That means the DLC has not been canceled and will be released sometime.
The esports tournament will be virtual
At least until further notice, the UEFA eEuro 2020 esports tournament, hosted by UEFA and Konami, continues. If everything continues as planned, it will be held between May 23 and 24. Of course, the initial plans contemplated that the finalists move to London, but how could it be otherwise, it is impossible to materialize in that way. Therefore, the competition will take place virtually.
efootball PES 2020 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
