Doraemon: Story of Seasons is heading to PS4: it will be out in the summer

The Bandai Namco video game, after passing through Steam and Nintendo Switch, will break into the Sony home console soon.

Bandai Namco has confirmed through the latest issue of the weekly Famitsu magazine that Doraemon: Story of Seasons will go on sale on PlayStation 4 next summer. Thus, the players of the Sony domestic machine will be able to access the title this July 30 in Japan; at the expense of knowing if there will be international location. The original game has been available on PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch since last October.

This installment is part of the saga that we used to know as Harvest Moon, now with that difference between brands with the Story of Seasons nomenclature, depending on the publisher. The title that concerns us mixes the universe of the popular manganime Doraemon, one of the longest running series in the entire history of Japan and with great popularity in the West for its television series.

This Marvelous work bases its gameplay on the daily management of a farm with all kinds of agrarian tasks, social relations, fishing, food gathering and other tasks that will make agriculture and livestock our way of life. The studio in charge of the project is Brownies and is completely localized in Spanish.

In the same issue of Famitsu, statements are made by Hikaru Nakano, director of Marvelous, who adds: "Currently, we are preparing new developments outside of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town." For its part, the company in charge of development, Brownies, adds in the voice of Shouhei Yamashita that "although we have had certain barriers when making the port for another platform, we have overcome the greatest difficulties."

It is unknown, at this point, if this version of Doraemon: Story of Seasons will include any kind of addition or improvement compared to the one published on Nintendo Swithc and PC last year. You can read our original review of the game here, where we rated it on a remarkable note.

The next video game in development based on Doraemon already has a first and last name: Doraemon: Nobita’s New Dinosaur, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
