CD Projekt about Cyberpunk 2077's +18 rating: “We don't go around with little girls”

The Polish study reacts with humor to the leak of the body that classifies games by age in Brazil.

That Cyberpunk 2077 is a game in which violence, sex and drugs are the order of the day is not something that CD Projekt RED has hidden at any time. The new production from the creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set in a future where ethical and moral lines have almost completely blurred. Therefore, the leak of the institution that classifies games by age in Brazil was quite credible. In a tweet, the game's mission designer, Pawel Sasko, has responded that they are not foolish. The title, of course, has received a +18 rating.

"Are you surprised?" Asks Sasko. "We don't hang around with little girls." The retweeting message includes a series of descriptions about the game. "Cruelty", "prostitution", "corpse manipulation", "sexual exploitation", "mutilation" or "blood" are some of the sections that appear among the elements that will appear in Cyberpunk 2077.

City of crime and violence

Night City is a city illuminated by neon lights and obscured by all kinds of criminal acts, which take place day by day in the shadow of the streets. As in other products of the science fiction and cyberpunk genre, society lives under the influence of large corporations in a utopia of bionic implants that affect the body and the mind.

Cyberpunk 2077 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia and will be out on September 17. The new CD Projekt RED will have a version intended for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, although the developer has already announced that the product will not be ready for the launch of the new consoles, at the end of the year.

The game will be present at IGN Summer of Gaming, a digital event organized after the cancellation of E3 2020 due to the coronavirus. It will take place in June.
