Google Stadia reveals its free games for Stadia Pro in May

SteamWorld Heist and The Turing Test will become available in the subscription model catalog; new free access promotion to Sadia.

Google Stadia has revealed during the last Stadia Connect what will be the new free games that are added to the Stadia Pro catalog this coming May 1. Players of the North American company's streaming video game platform will be able to access SteamWorld Heist and The Turing Test at no additional cost. In addition, they recalled that a completely free two-month Stadia Pro promotion is being offered.

After the additions of last April, the month of May adds these two names, which join a list already made up of video games such as Destiny 2: Nueva Luz, GRID, GYLT, Metro Exodus, SteamWorld Dig 2, SteamWorld Quest, Serious Sam Collection, Spitlings, Stacks on Stacks (on Stacks) or Thumper, among others. Subscription to Stadia Pro has a cost of 9.99 euros per month under normal conditions.

During Stadia Connect they also revealed new additions to the direct purchase catalog (not the ones included in the subscription), such as FIFA and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, among the 5 EA games announced for this fall.

Stadia Pro, two months free to liven up confinement due to coronavirus

Thus, during the coronavirus period and in a total of 14 different countries, including Spain, everyone can access Stadia Pro without any cost for two months; that is, without making any payment and without the need to have more than a PC or an Android device, which are compatible with controls such as the PS4 and Xbox One. Players of iOS devices must wait. Once the promotion ends, those who wish to continue must pay 9.99 euros.

“We are currently experiencing one of the most important challenges of recent times. At the moment, maintaining social distance is essential, but being isolated and staying at home for a long period of time can be very difficult, "they said in the statement. Of course, during this period the maximum resolution with which they will offer streaming is 1080p, not 4K.

Google Stadia already has a catalog of some thirty titles, although the number will increase throughout the year. The Stadia Pro pack has a starting price of 129 euros with a three-month subscription (then goes to the aforementioned 9.99 euros per month) and includes a Google remote and a Chromecast Ultra, to which must be added a Buddy Pass – three months gift to a friend—, and the full versions of Destiny 2 and Samurai Shodown.
