This is InkyPen, the app to read comics and manga on Nintendo Switch reinforced in 2020

The application allows you to read comics from a multitude of publishers under a subscription model, now also associated with Kodansha USA.

InkyPen is one of the applications that are standing out the most in the Nintendo Switch eShop for lovers of comics and manga. Contrary to Marvel or DC, which have not adapted their services to the comic book to the hybrid console; o NETFLIX and the like in the series and movies aspect, this small company launched in 2018 a native app for Switch under a subscription of $ 7.99 a month, but now it has been greatly reinforced with the addition of Kodansha USA to its catalog.

Available worldwide, InkyPen thus welcomes series published in that publisher. Highlights: Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, Battle Angel Alita, Ace of the Diamond or Fire Force, among many others. For those who are interested, the application can be downloaded totally free from the Nintendo eShop, but to enjoy the service you must be subscribed.

Navigation is full screen and allows you to resume reading where we left off; it also includes horizontal or vertical reading. To the Kodansha series we must also add IDW, Dark Horse, Archie Comics and Valiant, so the catalog already has more than 10,000 American and Japanese comics.

Although readers have asked on social networks to join Shueisha, owner of the Weekly Shonen Jump, as a partner, it is quite unlikely at the moment, since Manga Plus is the solution of this other publisher to supply its content legally and digitally on iOS and Android devices. We do not know if Manga Plus will eventually come to Nintendo Switch.
