Valorant Closed Beta: New Details and Confirmation of Latin American Release Date

Riot reiterates the availability of Valorant closed beta in the region and unveils new technical aspects to make it more competitive

Riot through an official statement, has announced that finally this May 5 will be available the closed beta of Valorant. All this in a context in which there was the possibility of not being so, due to the contingency caused by COVID-19.

Balance system

As a preliminary, the company this Friday held a bootcamp of more than 11 hours in which journalists and content creators had access to the tactical shooter. In this event, the developers explained in detail all the abilities of each of the characters and the process of making the title, as well as the system that balances lag and latency of the game to make it more competitive.

Same aspect ratio for everyone

They also explained that regardless of the aspect ratio of the monitor with which you play, this will always be the same, all in order that everyone has the same perspective, thus being more equitable.

At Meristation México we wanted to test this point and we played it with a Predator Z35 2560 x 1080p 144hz monitor, confirming that we could not actually see the title in full screen.

The tactical shooter will have the same aspect ratio for everyone

The PC we played with during the bootcamp was with a Ryzen 7 1800x, 32 GB of Ram DDR4 Kingston at 2667 Mhz with a GeForce 2080 SUPER graphics card from NVIDIA and we managed to run the 144 FPS without any problem, although this did not represent anything advantage over other players, making this game really a competitive experience.

During the closed beta, the LAN and LAS servers will open the doors to all players who decide to try this ambitious project.

Another announcement is that on the same day the access drops for LATAM accounts began with the content creators of the region in Twich.
