They recreate Delfino Island from Super Mario Sunshine in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The GameCube video game is the new protagonist of the community. A player goes viral with his creation based on the mythical city of the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become a source of inspiration for the most creative players in the community. The fact of allowing the terrain to be modified as well as customizing land patterns has led to very reliable recreation of territories from the Legend of Zelda saga or Pokémon, among others. This time, the protagonist is none other than Super Mario Sunshine, one of the emblems of the GameCube.

Delfino Square in Ciudad Delfino, an unmistakable Giant Sun

The popular exclusive video games on the console, released back in 2001 as a great canonical episode of the plumber's 3D side, had many peculiarities; among them, the A.C.U.A.C. and Delfino Island, where the adventure takes place.

This territory, west of the Mushroom Kingdom, is a paradise island where Forestanos, Nokis and other beings coexist in relative harmony. But Ciudad Delfino is the most characteristic place. As we see in the recreation made by Jake, in the video of the companions of GameXplain we can see in detail the meticulousness of this creator to move this iconic place in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Plaza Delfino is the most remembered location in Ciudad Delfino, a square inhabited by the Forestanos with two small islands around it. Of course, in this recreation a huge print of the Giant Sun appears.

We recall that last January Nintendo renewed the registration of a total of 39 video games from its catalog of games from Nintendo DS, Wii and GameCube, among other platforms. Names like Super Mario Sunshine, Kid Icarus, Eternal Darkness, Majora's Mask (The Legend of Zelda), and Pokémon Ranger were found on that list. We do not know if Nintendo plans to bring these video games back to its current console, Nintendo Switch; the community, however, does want an eventual remake of the game that is now the protagonist.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available exclusively for Nintendo Switch. In our complete guide you can check all the news in fauna (fish, bugs …) that arrive this May.
