EA confirms FIFA 21: it will be out before the end of September

Electronic Arts reveals through its latest financial report that the next iteration of the saga will not be delayed despite the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Electronic Arts has presented this Wednesday the financial results for the last quarter of fiscal year 2020 that ended on March 31 and, with it, the roadmap of some of the video games that will be published before the end of the season. One of them is FIFA 21, which will go on sale before the end of September.

According to the document and stating that everything is susceptible to change under the coronavirus crisis (COVID-19), the publisher plans that EA Sports can launch on a series of undetermined platforms FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21 between the months of July, August and September; that is, the second quarter of the already started financial year 2020-21. Its news is unknown and if there will be a version for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Over the coming months, EA will unveil an additional HD EA port, four company partner games and two titles for mobile devices. In addition, in that same conference they have revealed that they have "multiple" games planned for Nintendo Switch in 2020.

To our knowledge, these are the names that EA has already explicitly confirmed as releases for the coming months: Burnout Paradise Remastered, Command & Conquer Remastered, FIFA 21, Madden NFL 21 and NHL 21. On the other hand, they are already working on Medal of Honor : Above and Beyond for Oculus VR and new iterations of sagas like Battlefield, Star Wars and Dragon Age; all of them without confirmed platforms or a specific window, which does not have to be 2020.

EA Play Live 2020 is EA's next big date with its community. It will be next June 12 at 01:00 AM Spanish time when this event begins, which is part of the Summer Game Fest – whose full schedule has already been revealed – and which is expected to present both the confirmed FIFA 21 and other titles of the publisher.

FIFA 20, the latest installment in the series, is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
