Summer Game Fest reveals its calendar and dates; "Surprise game" on May 12

The great alternative event to E3 2020 organized by Geoff Keighley will cover from May to August with a multitude of news and announcements.

The official website of Summer Game Fest 2020 has released the first official dates of its calendar for the months of May, June, July and August. This great series of events, recently announced and captained by journalist Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards), will feature firstly the already announced Inside Xbox on May 7; but it will be followed by many more celebrations at key moments in the coming months. At least in 2020 and in the face of the coronavirus crisis, which for the last twenty years was a week of announcements focused on the canceled E3 2020 fair (which will return in 2021 in a “reimagined” way), it will now be broken up at different times in this next quarter, the summer season, so that all the publishers have their own individual moment of prominence.

  • TennoCon 2020 on July 11. Digital Extremes will give news and reveal the future of WarFrame.

August

  • Gamescom 2020: Opening Night Live on August 24 at 20:00 (CEST) to end the Summer Game Fest with announcements and news.

The big publishers will be at Summer Game Fest

For now, there are a few large publishers that have confirmed their presence at Summer Game Fest; To be highlighted and in the order in which they were presented in the first infographic image of the event: 2K Games, Activision, Bandai Namco, Bethesda Softworks, Blizzard Entertainment, Bungie, CD Projekt RED, Digital Extremes, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Private Division, Riot Games, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Steam, Square Enix and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

"Summer Game Fest promises to bring fans a huge season of video game news and other surprises from the comfort of home," they said. Each event can be followed on the official channels of Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Mixer enabled. The end point of this series of events will be Opening Night Live, which in the last two years served as the starting gun for the German Gamescom.
