Xbox Series X | list with all optimized games: Smart Delivery, 4K and HDR

After unveiling the enhanced games logo on Xbox Series X, we reviewed the entire list of titles that will take advantage of the machine's hardware.

After the Inside Xbox on Thursday, the first within Microsoft's Xbox 20/20 program through which we will have news from the Xbox universe every month until the end of the year, it has become clear that the commitment to optimize video games on Xbox Series X will not be for isolated cases, but for practically all console games.

What is "Optimized for Xbox Series X"?

As confirmed by the Xbox itself hours before this digital event began – of which you can read a summary here – all the announced third parties will have these improvements, this optimization; that is, they will take full advantage of the Xbox Series X's signature features: 4K resolution up to 120 FPS, DirectStorage, hardware accelerated DirectX ray tracing, ultra-fast load time, and more.

Also, in the event that the publisher is willing to do it, Smart Delivery, something that all Xbox Game Studios titles will have by decree. This function, rather a guarantee, implies that we will only have to buy the games once, always with the certainty that regardless of the Xbox model we turn on we will be able to play the best version of the title.

For example, from third-party publishers we have big names like Assassin's Creed Valhalla or Cyberpunk 2077: if we buy it on Xbox One and then get an Xbox Series X, we will play the native optimized version. Let's review the list of games that have confirmed optimization on Xbox Series X.

Optimized games on Xbox Series X

  • Assassin's Creed: Valhalla
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Gears 5
  • Bright Memory: Infinite
  • Call of the sea
  • Chorus
  • DIRT 5
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Scorn
  • Second Extinction
  • The Ascent
  • The Medium
  • Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Not everyone will have Smart Delivery, 4K, and HDR, however. Only some will enjoy all the features, but all will have at least one. Broadly speaking, the only ones on the list that will not have Smart Delivery are Bright Memory: Infinite, Scorn and The Medium.

Regarding 4K resolution, we still do not know if Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Second Extinction and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will have it, they just have not confirmed it. To finish, the HDR function can be enjoyed in just a few of the list: Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Call of the Sea, DiRT 5, Gears 5 and The Ascent.
