Star Wars: Battlefront II will contain contents of The Rise of Skywalker

On the occasion of Episode IX, which will dismiss the Skywalker saga, Battlefront II prepares the landing of several events and contents of the film.

On December 20 Star Wars will put an end to the Skywalker saga in cinemas with Episode IX, and on the occasion, Ben Walke, community manager of Star Wars: Battlefront II, has confirmed that the game will host "a month of "celebration" full of new content related to the film, although it has not wanted to advance what they will be, seeing what happened with Episodes VII and VIII we can expect several of the film's maps and characters to come to the title.

Two important updates for the game will also arrive during the month of December (the first one was scheduled for November but has had to be delayed) and from then on, EA will boost the limited events and bonus modes of the game. Among them (you can check them all here), they stand out on Wednesdays and weekends of double experience, and even triple if we play in Starfighter game modes.

The success of Star Wars in video games

In recent weeks we knew the resounding success of Star Wars Battlefront (2015) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2017), which, controversial on the sidelines, have exceeded 33 million units sold between them, becoming one of the most profitable sagas in the sector from his reboot. In spite of this, a third is not yet considered in EA, at least in the short term, because according to his latest statements, “there is no longer so much hunger for the sequels.” The company now focuses attention and efforts on Jedi Star Wars: Fallen Order, which they planned to distribute between 6 and 8 million units before the end of this fiscal year, which runs until April 2020.
