Warner Bros. Montreal works on AAA games based on DC Comics

The developer responsible for Batman: Arkham Origins confirms in her official Instagram bio that the studio is focused on DC.

There was little doubt that Warner Bros. Montreal was developing games based on DC Comics. In addition to being the creators of Batman: Arkham Origins, the tracks they have left on social media and the leak of several canceled games from Superman and the Suicide Squad, the developer has just updated her biography on Instagram to make it official: "Experienced studio dual. We developed DC Comics triple-A games that celebrate WBIE's legendary brands. ”

Since Warner Bros. Montreal finished Origins, the title that chronicles the early days of the batman, the company has not released any other games. In fact, the title has been left out of all the compilations and remasters, since the company has preferred to compile the trilogy created by Rocksteady, that is, Batman Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight. With the E3 2020 canceled, it is worth wondering when we will discover what both developers are up to.

The canceled games

Everything surrounding Warner Bros. Montreal projects has remained in the shadows, but as usual, secrets cannot be kept forever, especially in high-budget projects. Various conceptual arts confirmed that the studio was immersed in developing titles based on Superman and the Suicide Squad. Clark Kent's alter ego appeared flying through the city of Metropolis, while the figure of Harley Quinn was seen in some sketches.

The only official information about the studio's next project are the clues they have been leaving on social networks. The publications hint that the setting could be The Court of Owls and The League of Shadows, but until that translates into an advertisement we will move into the field of conjecture. At the moment, Warner Bros has not revealed if it has plans to hold an alternative event to E3, although they will be present at the Summer Game Fest.
