Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity will be present at the Guerrilla Collective event

The director of publication of the study warns that there will be one or more announcements related to the Divinity saga, although he does not give details.

With E3 2020 canceled by the coronavirus crisis, announcements have been scattered across various events. Guerrilla Collective, which will take place between July 6 and 8, is one of the many alternatives that different organizers have been developing. Larian Studios had already announced that it would be present, although now we know some more details. In addition to Baldur's Gate 3, the title they have in production, there will also be news regarding the Divinity saga, the studio's successful RPG franchise.

This has been confirmed by Michael Douse, director of publishing for Larian Studios. Douse has replied to a fan asking if there would be any Divinity-related announcement: "There will be a (pair) of Divinity announcement (s) along with Baldur's Gate 3," he says on Twitter. From the comment, many guesses can be made, but we will have to wait for the developers to uncover their plans in a couple of months.

How has the coronavirus influenced?

The COVID-19 epidemic has affected video game studies to a lesser or greater extent. In Larian's case, the company's co-founder and director, Swen Vincke, reflected on this in an interview with The New York Times. The creative confirmed that plans to launch early access in 2020 have not changed, although he did admit that there have been some problems. "Development continues," said Vincke. "We are just going slower."

Although the first week went well, some time later some vicissitudes began to emerge. “We started to see more stress in terms of communication. We spend days communicating, trying to solve problems, organizing things, and giving instructions. ” In this last sentence, it refers to those responsible for managing the study.

Larian is shaping Baldur's Gate 3 for PC and Google Stadia. The title will take elements from the BioWare classics, but will evolve in a new direction.
