The PS Store is updated with an avatar that costs $ 99.99

A joke? A mistake? This weekend the PS4 digital store has been updated with a mysterious avatar, the most expensive of the entire platform.

When you think you have seen everything, a user goes and discovers that in the PlayStation Store there is an avatar for sale that is worth $ 99.99. Such a fun find was made by Wario64 during the past weekend and has not taken long to go viral. Called State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem – Golden Prince Avatar, this "precious" complement with which to adorn our profile arrived at the PS4 store on November 1 and seems to have some kind of link with a 2018 indie with which Share name, State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem. An indie that obviously is worth ten times less than the avatar, surely some kind of error or internal joke of its creators.

Usually the avatars of the PS Store range between 0.99 and 1.99 euros, with more expensive packs that include several of them, such as Star Trek (a dynamic theme and 36 avatars for $ 17.99) or Danganronpa V3 (16 avatars for 14.99 $). Of course there are also free ones and you can even choose to upload your own photo to our profile. Hence the surprise generated by the "golden prince".

Apps for rich

In case the price was not a mistake, it would not be the first time we see some kind of product that jokes and satirizes the prices that are usually seen on digital platforms. The most famous case is that of I Am Rich, an app from the App Store that was launched in 2008 for a whopping $ 999.99 and the only thing we did if we bought it was to display a text before our eyes that said the following: " I'm rich, I deserve it, I'm good, healthy and successful. " The application, which followed the joke with the name of its creator, Armin Heinrich, was removed from the store by Apple itself after a few days. Posts to criticize, what better way to do it with humor.
