These numbers make the title also surpass the previous installments of the saga (Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U stayed at 15 million and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, at 13.3). In addition the franchise is consolidated as the best selling of the genre and accumulates 53.03 million units sold, taking off from the 45 and 47 million around which move names of the likes of Tekken, Dragon Ball, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. A long future ahead

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has not only not completed a year on sale, but has not even finished with its DLC plans and downloadable content. The fourth fighter of the first season pass of the title, which consists of five additions, is Terry Bogard and is presented on November 6. After this first Fighter Pass there are even more fighters confirmed on the way and Sakurai has already stated that he is aware that these record numbers, not only in sales, but also in relation to the number of fighters (go for 79), are impossible to repeat. How far will the Ultimate phenomenon go?
