PES 2020 confirms the launch date of the free update of Euro 2020

The Japanese company delayed content due to the coronavirus epidemic, as it was originally scheduled for April.

UEFA EURO 2020 won't have a fight until the summer of 2021, but the free update to eFootball PES 2020 won't take that long. This has been confirmed by Konami in a press release, where it has revealed that this free update will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Steam) on June 4 through Data Pack 7.0. All players who have the base game will have the opportunity to get this extension completely free of charge.

The Japanese company has also explained that "as a consequence of the date change" of the tournament, "adjustments have been made to the content" of the DLC. In this way, the Japanese announce that the game will include the 55 national teams of UEFA, with all their squads and kits.

In addition to the UEFA EURO 2020 Official Tournament Mode, both Wembley Stadium and Saint Petersburg Stadium will be recreated. Players will be able to enjoy the official ball from the launch day, as well as the characteristics of the players and the events of the game, which "will be subject to changes that will be announced in the title itself."

A necessary postponement

The UEFA EURO 2020 update was originally scheduled for April 30, but the coronavirus epidemic forced Konami to change its schedule. During the pandemic, sports activities have been paralyzed, so many competitions have been forced to look for new dates. It is still unclear how the matches will return today, although this European competition will be held in a year.

eFootball PES 2020 is Konami's soccer simulator. This edition, available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, went on sale last year. The game can be enjoyed as part of the Xbox Game Pass catalog, the Redmond subscription service.
