The Doomsday device continues to be built in Fortnite Chapter 2. This mysterious artifact has been under construction for the past few weeks.
On Tuesday, May 19, Fortnite's Doomsday Device reached its 3rd phase of construction. This advances the story of Season 2 of the Fortnite Battle Pass Chapter 2 a little bit. We tell you what happens next:
Fortnite: advance the construction of the device of the Last Judgment
As we have commented in the introductory paragraph, as of May 19, 2020 at 16:00 (Spanish peninsula time), many more conduits / pipes of the device of the Last Judgment have appeared in various tabs of the game menu.
According to iFireMonkey, a reputed Fortnite dataminer, what is shown in the game is "phase 3" of the construction of the Last Judgment device.

From Agent Midas' room you can see part of the device of the Last Judgment
A few weeks ago, around La Agencia, a point of interest on the map located in the E4 quadrant, several underwater constructions appeared that are supposed to be part of this same mechanism. We have verified in-game that there is nothing new regarding them; No change is seen in these artifacts.

Although it is not known for sure what this mechanism is for, the teasers that were found in the game of Season 3 of Fortnite Chapter 2 suggest that during this new season there would be a flood of much of the island. We understand, then, that the device of the Last Judgment would serve to increase the water level, flooding several areas. As we say, this, for now, is mere speculation.
