Fortnite banns a professional player for using aimbot

He has not done so during an official tournament, but in public games. The player has regretted it and posted a video explaining the situation

Epic Games has zero tolerance for cheats. Whoever that fails. And FaZe Jarvis has fallen permanently. This was announced by this professional Fortnite Battle Royale player, who has posted a video on his official YouTube channel to explain what has happened. With almost 2 million subscribers on his channel, the young man has acknowledged that he has used aimbot during several Fortnite games. This has cost him his expulsion from all accounts, both primary and secondary.

Aimbot is a software that allows the player to aim automatically and accurately, something that, obviously, Epic Games has not seen with good eyes. However, the player has not used this ploy in official games and tournaments, but has used it just to try it and have fun on his channel. Even so, the player has acknowledged his mistake: "Obviously, this has been a huge mistake," he admits in the video. "It was my fault. Cheating on anything is terrible, you shouldn't do it, it's not acceptable. ”

Tears and thanks

The player regrets not having paid more attention to the rules and has ended up breaking into tears. “When I started making these videos I never thought about the consequences,” he says in a broken voice. "I just thought about entertaining you guys." From now on, he will not be able to participate in the game again, but he wanted to have a few words for his subscribers and said he was "surprised" that so many people decided to watch their videos for entertainment.

It is not the first time that Epic Games has banned players, although each case is different. Other professional players have been punished with two weeks of suspension after trying to cheat in official tournaments. Therefore, it is not strange that there are users who have questioned the proportionality of the punishment.
