Dreams will launch a paid beta on PS VR soon

Media Molecule is preparing to activate the compatibility of your video game with virtual reality technology.

Dreams is a video game in a continuous process of transformation. The Media Molecule production, now available in its full commercial version, will open for PlayStation VR soon. This will, of course, be after launching the relevant tests. The PlayStation Studios company is looking for players to test this new functionality through a beta, which will begin in the coming weeks. It is a paid test, since the selected candidates will receive an approximate sum of 220 euros for their work.

As confirmed by VGC, it is a process designed in several phases. Thus, the interested party must complete a questionnaire, participate in a videoconference in early June and write a newspaper that collects their experiences for two weeks. In addition, the candidate will have to pass an interview that will be held in the middle of the same month. From what has emerged, the tests are intended, at least for the moment, exclusively for the European market.

A creative vision

Dreams is a video game focused on creating very varied titles. As a design tool it offers multiple options, both to users without any knowledge and to experienced professionals. The basis is to share the creations with the other members of the community. In that sense, Media Molecule itself launched a demo with some of the most interesting creations made by players. Following the announcement of Unreal Engine 5, the new version of the Epic Games graphics engine, a user has recreated the demo presented by the parents of Fortnite in Dreams.

Media Molecule has spent years designing creative experiences. After Little Big Planet and Tearaway, it is the turn of this curious video game. It was initially released as early access (the publisher, exclusively), although months later it was fully marketed. It includes several stories designed by the studio itself, which serve as a story mode and have been developed using the same tools provided by the game.
