Nintendo Switch is updated to version 10.0.3: download now available

The hybrid console receives this patch, now available for download on all console models. We go over all the details.

Nintendo has released version 10.0.3 of the Nintendo Switch firmware. Platform players, regardless of whether it is the standard or Lite model, can now download this update in all regions to improve system stability. Contrary to previous occasions, this time there is no warning of weighty solutions, but a general and minor set-up.

According to the official portal, this update 10.0.3 of Nintendo Switch released on May 25 includes "improvements in the overall stability of the system" to "improve the user experience." No further details have emerged.

As always, we remember that to update the console manually, the first and most important thing is to have our Nintendo Switch connected to the Internet. Having this assured, we go to the Settings roulette, continue to System and System Update. Under normal conditions, in just a few seconds we will have everything ready for the console to restart and apply this update.

All updates to the Nintendo Switch firmware are mandatory if we want to continue using the online features (online game, access to the eShop …) of the console.

If we look back, only a few weeks ago version 10.0.2 arrived to end a synchronization problem of the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller controls, which in some cases did not match correctly. Where there were more important changes was in the update 10.0.0 published in April, when new Animal Crossing icons were included in the profile, the possibility of reassigning commands on the buttons of the controls or the option of performing data transfers between the internal memory and microSD (or vice versa).

Future Nintendo Switch releases in 2020

The Nintendo Switch release schedule for the coming months leaves us with names like Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition on May 29; same date as Bioshock: The Collection, XCOM 2 Collection or Borderlands: Legendary Collection. In June it will be the turn of Burnout Paradise Remastered, in July Deadly Premonition 2 and Paper Mario: The Origami King. Finally, Bravely Default 2 and No More Heroes 3 are planned for the end of 2020. Others like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 (currently untitled), Metroid Prime 4, and Bayonetta 3 do not have a release date.
