Sony announced by surprise that the Activision game would be one of the free titles of the month, but also announced that it was coming a few days ahead.
As every month, one of the unknowns is knowing the titles that subscribers of the different services will be able to download at no additional cost. Normally, both Microsoft and Sony announce all titles a few days in advance. However, the Japanese company surprised not only by the news that Call of Duty WWII would be part of the free PS Plus games in June, but also because its arrival is anticipated a few days. Players will not have to go into the next month to enjoy it, since it is already available on the service.
The Sledgehammer Games title marks a return to one of the franchise's classic settings, World War II. After several installments set in futuristic worlds, Activision decided to go back to the origins and rebuild this armed conflict in current generation systems. In addition to the campaign (disappeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and recovered in Modern Warfare), the game includes the usual multiplayer modes.
