The Witcher 3: this is the mod that recovers the animations from the E3 2014 demo

A user recreates various graphical aspects of the Geralt adventure demo video before the controversial downgrade in its commercial version.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt presented a surprising demo at E3 2014 that enchanted everyone thanks to its impressive visual appearance and very careful animations of its protagonist, Geralt de Rivia. Although with the launch of its commercial version in 2015, a slight downgrade was appreciated in its staging, something that generated not a little controversy. Now, a user has managed to retrieve that graphic section from E3 2014 to bring it to The Witcher 3 on PC in mod form; and the result could not be more satisfactory.

Mod now available for free

Thus, the modder DreLL47 has created a mod on the Nexus Mods page known as E3 2014 Gameplay Mod, a graphic modification of the work of CD Projekt RED that already makes its intentions clear only through its title. And it is that among the most obvious improvements we find animations based on those that could be seen in that famous demo, more realistic and natural, both when walking, running and attacking.

As can be seen in the demo video of the mod that the user himself has shared and through a direct comparison between the original game and the mod, when playing with a control knob we will have up to four styles of movement for the witcher, from walking to running, with two intermediate levels to jogging, one slightly faster than the other.

But there is more; Geralt also receives new animations for evasion, with up to three types, as well as for unsheathing swords and jumps, as well as new animations for research sequences.

All in all, it is an animation package that aims to improve the visual finish of the title and it is already available completely free of charge through the author's page on Nexus Mods; Of course, it is only compatible with the mod The Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition and that already applies many other graphic improvements to the original video game on PC.
