Quiet, different titles, with little violence and a lot of heart are the communicating vehicle of these productions.
Wholesome Games is not a company, nor a label, but a flag that some independent productions have raised and put in common so that the public recognizes projects with certain common values. "Wholesome" could be translated as "healthy" in its classic meaning, that "comforts" or that is associated with good ethical / moral values, which in video games is usually linked to calm, relaxing titles, with hardly any violence, with pleasant graphics and designed for a wide audience. Taking advantage of the current era of digital presentations, studios from all over the world have decided to organize each other and create a custom event in which to show up to 55 projects that will appear in 2020/2021 (some are already available even), with no other common link than share certain values.
The event has allowed us to enjoy numerous trailers and measured interventions by some of the creators who have been encouraged to appear, with a very enjoyable rhythm and showing the way how many titles can be shown in a short time, with agility and without reaching boring, to which contributed the great variety of genres, styles and ideas that have circulated in the little more than 30 minutes that the event lasted.
