Swery65 (Deadly Premonition) is preparing 5 new games

One horror with Suda 51, Deadly Premonition 2, a game for Oculus, The Good Life, another for mobile … Swery is going to talk about in the coming months.

In an interview for the WccfTech teammates, Hidetaka Suehiro, better known as Swery, has reviewed the projects he has in hand and surprised everyone by stating that he works in five different games. For now three were known: the sequel to the one for which he rose to fame, Deadly Premonition 2; a collaboration with another of the great minds of the sector, Suda 51, to make a horror game, Hotel Barcelona (announced last week); and The Good Life, a delirious RPG adventure that was delayed to 2020 this summer and that takes us to the "happiest place in the world", a mysterious town whose inhabitants become cats and dogs at night.

Swery's new projects

To such a trident, in which none seems a minor title that allows him to take a breath, we must also add two others. The first one, still without a name, is for iOS and Android. "It's the first time I'm doing a mobile game," Swery acknowledges in the interview, "one that people can play anytime, anywhere." But how could it be otherwise coming from him, it will not be any game. "I want to make a mobile game in which you get so much that you forget to eat," he joked. The creative also admitted that "it could have ports on other platforms" and that although it will have history, it will not be necessary to read it if you do not want to, as it is not important.

His latest project also has no name and is more mysterious if possible. It seems at a very early stage of production (if not a mere idea). "The other night at a Reboot Develop Red party we talked about a fifth project for Oculus," says Swery in the interview. Of course the developer seems in a sweet moment and there is nothing but to be glad that we are going to see him so much in the coming years after seeing him so little in the last five years, where he barely took D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die (2015) and The Missing : JJ Macfield and the Island of Memories (2018).
