Cyberpunk 2077: missions will have three times more freedom than The Witcher 3

CD Projekt RED offers new details for its new video game and argues that the only way to fail a mission is to die.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt established important innovations within the construction of open worlds, but CD Projekt RED intends to continue deepening its development. His new video game, Cyberpunk 2077, will offer triple freedom at the time of completing the missions, all with respect to the title starring Geralt of Rivia. This has been confirmed by the developers on the GameStar podcast.

According to CD Projekt RED, death is the only way to fail on a mission. The team has taken into account even the smallest detail to avoid other forms of failure. For example, if you are in the middle of a combat, you can run away for any reason and eat a hamburger while the mission continues.

More than 1,000 NPCs with daily routines

In that same podcast, the Poles have also explained another of the improvements regarding The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Although the inhabitants of the fantasy world devised by Andrzej Sapkowski already had daily routines, the company has explained that in Cyberpunk 2077 it will multiply the numbers. According to the study, there will be more than 1,000 NPCs with hand-designed routines. This means that these characters will perform different tasks throughout the day. Some up to three different.

Cyberpunk 2077 is still scheduled for September 17, although not on all platforms. On that day, the game will go on sale for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Versions for the next generation and for Google Stadia will have to wait. Of course, all those who purchase the version for the Microsoft console will be able to update and enjoy the improvements in Xbox Series X, without having to pay again.

CD Projekt RED and Microsoft recently released a limited and customized edition of Xbox One X. In fact, only 45,000 units have been produced.
