The end of the Agent 47 trilogy by IO Interactive as an independent company is less than a year away, since as we discovered in the last PS5 presentation event, Hitman 3 will come not only to the Sony console, but also to Xbox Series X and PC in January 2021. But the one who is one of the most popular assassins in the history of video games will not only end his goals in the next generation, but he will also do so in the present, on PS4 and Xbox One.
Murders in two generations
This would be confirmed by the Danish study itself in a post on the official PlayStation blog, and that is that those who have followed the adventures of Agent 47 on current consoles and are not in a hurry to move to the next generation of hardware can rest easy. Good news especially when we have also known that we will be able to maintain and transfer the progress and content, which is no small feat, of the first two installments to this third. That is, all the objects and scenarios obtained in Hitman and Hitman 2 can be used in Hitman 3, since the objective of IO Interactive is that it serves as a platform to, in short, enjoy all the content released since the original arrived back in 2016.
“As longtime Hitman fans you will know that our games are always built with player choice and replayability in mind,” said Travis Barbour, CM of IO Interactive. “Hitman 3 is no different. In fact, our next game invites players to explore and interact with the world in new ways to reward them in future games. We want players to feel that their actions have an impact on what is happening around them, and also when they play the same environment again. ”
Thus, Hitman 3 will maintain the formula of success of the previous two iterations, in which Agent 47 has traveled the entire world in various locations full of details and opportunities to directly kill or create “accidents” to carry out their objectives. After Hitman: Absolution, a more plot-focused installment, in this trilogy they have called World of Assassination they wanted to emphasize enhanced gameplay, prompting the player to go back to several reviews of each scenario and thus discover new secrets.
The end of this trilogy will arrive with hitman 3 in January 2021, as we have seen, on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
