Electronic Arts will officially present Star Wars: Squadrons this Monday, June 15, with a presentation trailer that will allow us to glimpse the first details of the next official video game of the license. Developed by EA Motive, which has been stirring the networks since the end of May, it is what we used to know as Star Wars Project Maverick.
Monday, June 15 at 5:00 p.m. (CEST) – Star Wars: Squadrons
It will be at 17:00 (Peninsula and Balearic Islands) / 16:00 (Canary Islands) when the live premiere of the first trailer for Star Wars: Squadrons begins. Follow it live here. In the absence of knowing if it will be a launch for 2020 and if it will therefore become one of EA’s big bets by the end of the year, the details leaked through the official Microsoft store allow us to get an idea of what we are going to find.
Broadly speaking, Star Wars: Squadrons will be a spaceship driving game similar to what Star Wars: Rogue Squadrons once was. In case it is exactly what was already leaked with Project Maverick months ago, it will be a title focused on the multiplayer experience, specifically focused on a gameplay where the confrontations between spaceships, as we saw in the movies.
The official image of the game features two pilots; one from the Empire and one from the Rebel side. In addition, you can see several ships from the Lucasfilm film saga. It is rash right now to try to know in what temporal context the game will be set.

We do not know the platforms either, although Microsoft listed it as a future video game for Xbox One. One of the questions that fans are now asking is if there will be a version for PS5 and Xbox Series X, the next generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft that will reach the market in late 2020. We will soon have doubts.
We also remember that this morning from Thursday to Friday, at 01:00 on June 19, the Electronic Arts EA Play Live will take place, its alternative event to E3 2020 where FIFA 21 and more titles will be announced.
