Through GOG, if you connect your Playstation or Xbox libraries to Galaxy, you will have your compatible version of the game
CD Projekt has launched an interesting initiative for PS4 or Xbox One users who have The Witcher 3. If we agree to connect our console libraries to the GOG Galaxy 2.0 system, the client that allows us to manage our library in the digital store; and in it is The Witcher 3 in any of its versions, we will automatically obtain the version of the same game on PC for free, within our library in GOG.
Free for unifying libraries
Some time ago we were talking about the new GOG client, Galaxy 2.0, a service that allows us to manage and optimize our entire GOG games catalog, make friend lists and other advantages. Unlike Steam, the client is not required to download the games, but CD Projekt is trying to make it worthwhile, also using one of its most promoted facets. The great differential point of Galaxy 2.0 compared to other clients is that it is designed to communicate with other digital libraries, either on PC or consoles, unifying our games in a single list and being able to start them from the same client (only in the case of PC games).
If, for example, we have the original The Witcher 3 on PS4 and connect our digital library from the Store to Galaxy 2.0, we will add to it a PC version of the same game. Or, if we had the Game of the Year version on Xbox One, we would acquire our own in its GOG version. As a good additional detail, if it turns out that we already have a version of The Witcher 3 in GOG and we make this connection of libraries, we will get a code to give the game to whoever we want, which is an excellent detail that can give more than a joy. The only downside is that the promotion does not currently apply to Switch users, since at the moment there is no possibility of communication between Galaxy and Eshop.
